Phoenix Week 2013 will mark the 25th anniversary of the twinning relationship between the town of Ennis and the US city of Phoenix. For seven days in March, Ennis will celebrate the special relationship it shares with Phoenix, Arizona. Almost one hundred people will travel to Ennis from Phoenix for the week long event. The group will include an official delegation led by Phoenix City Councilman, Michael Johnson. He will be joined by City Council representatives and executives, business leaders and Phoenix Sister Cities personnel. Also travelling from Phoenix is St Mary’s High School Band who will participate in the St Patrick’s Day Parade, and also play at a number of locations in Ennis and Co Clare during their visit.
Details of the special Programme of Events which will take place during the visit are outlined below. Public events are free of charge, however in some cases numbers may have to be limited, so advance booking is recommended.
